More sustainability in the field

In times of climate change, ensuring the necessary supply of food for both humans and animals is becoming increasingly challenging. HOLMER’s innovative slurry cultivator enables sustainable fertilization of cornfields. To prevent environmental damage, HOLMER also relies on lubrication-free sliding bearings from Igus. Thanks to a newly developed felt seal, this motion plastics solution is ideally suited for tough field conditions.

Corn as far as the eye can see: On a slightly cloudy day in a cornfield in Hungary, a Terra Variant slowly appears on the horizon. Behind the cabin of the agricultural machine is a large slurry tank carrying the fertilizer. Instead of spreading the valuable organic fertilizer on the surface and accepting nutrient emissions, the carrier vehicle pulls an impressive machine behind it at a speed of 10 km/h: the SecatFlex SL slurry cultivator, which is mounted on the vehicle. The size of the attachment is impressive – it spans 7.5 m wide and weighs 2.3 t.
