This year, the employees of HOLMER Maschinenbau GmbH have again shown their strong commitment to the region. As part of the traditional Christmas raffle, €1,740 were raised. The amount was handed over to Malteser Hilfsdienst e.V. Grafentraubach/Oberdeggenbach, which will use the donation to build a central vehicle hall with storage space in Oberdeggenbach as a central base for its volunteer work.
Xaver Treintl, head of the Malteser Hilfsdienst Grafentraubach/Oberdeggenbach, accepted the donation from works council chairman Christian Gruber and expressed his sincere thanks for the support. According to Mr. Treintl, vehicles and equipment are currently still distributed across several locations of the volunteer helpers. The new building will enable central and weather-protected storage for the first time, which will make work and operations much easier.
The works council also emphasized the special significance of this year's fundraising campaign. “The decision was not difficult for us this year. We heard about the planned new building and were keen to support the Malteser, especially as we have a long-standing cooperation in the area of first aid courses and first responders on site,” Christian Gruber explained.
Completion of the new vehicle hall is scheduled for April 2026. With this donation, the employees of HOLMER Maschinenbau GmbH are making a valuable contribution to strengthening regional emergency and rescue structures.
