500th Terra Variant leaves the HOLMER factory in Eggmühl

08.04.2024

In 1969, company founder Alfons Holmer took over his father's forge in Eggmühl with the clear aim of making farmers' work in the fields easier. Since then, HOLMER Maschinenbau GmbH has developed into a pioneer in international agricultural technology. Professional excellence, technical expertise and the highest quality standards form the foundation of its success.

The first Terra Variant, model 420, revolutionised slurry spreading back in 1996. It offers powerful performance - whether for heavy tillage or crop fertilisation, closes nutrient cycles and reduces ammonia emissions. With GPS, driver assistance systems and digital networking, the machine has been consistently developed over 25 years. Today, farmers and contractors in over 15 countries use the Terra Variant to cultivate their fields gently, efficiently and with high output.

The HOLMER Terra Variant family comprises two models: The Terra Variant 435 is a manoeuvrable, lightweight machine, perfect for spreading liquid manure in crops, especially in small-structured areas. The Terra Variant 650 was developed to achieve maximum spreading performance with intensive slurry incorporation.

At HOLMER, almost 400 employees worldwide work every day to ensure that the Terra Variant inspires. In March 2024, the 500th machine (Model 650) left the factory halls in Eggmühl. HOLMER wishes the proud owner a lot of fun working powerfully and sustainably.
