On March 19 and 20, 2025, a summit of the Inner Mongolia sugar beet industry was held in Yantai, in the Chinese province of Shandong. This region comprises five autonomous areas in northern China, which are centrally administered from Beijing*.

Eleven sugar factories from these areas came together to discuss the current situation of the sugar beet industry and the 2024/25 harvest campaign. This season, the participating factories processed a total of 5,905,874 tons of sugar beet, with an average sugar content of 16.97%.

HOLMER was represented by its Chinese representative office from Beijing. Hans Neumann, Head of the representative office, and Qiao Qian, Senior Marketing Manager, gave a 50-minute presentation on the company's current range of machines, with a particular focus on harvesting and loading technology.

The focus was on the Terra Dos 5 beet harvester, which sets new standards in operating comfort and efficiency. The first Terra Dos 5-40 was already successfully in operation in Inner Mongolia last year.
