Personal data

"Personal data" is information about you. This includes your name, address and email address. You do not have to divulge any personal data to be able to visit our website. In some cases we need your name and address and other information to be able to offer the desired service.

The same applies in the event that we supply you, on request, with information material or in responding to your enquiries. In these cases, we will always point this out. In addition, we only store data that you send us automatically or voluntarily.

If you use one of our services, we usually collect only that data which is necessary to provide you with our service. We may ask for further information, but this is voluntary in nature. Whenever we process personal data, we do so in order to offer you our services or to pursue our commercial objectives.

Automatically stored, non-personal data

When you visit our web pages, we store certain information for administrative and technical reasons. This includes: the type and version of browser used, date and time of access, and the IP address.

These data is anonymised and used only for statistical purposes or for improving our Internet and online services.

Such anonymised data is stored – separately from personal data – on secure systems and cannot be attributed to individuals. This means that your personal data remains protected at all times.

When you visit our webpages, we may store information on your computer in the form of cookies. Cookies are small files that are transferred from a web server to your browser and stored on the hard drive. Only the internet protocol address is stored in this case – no personal data. The information stored in the cookie makes it possible to recognise you automatically the next time you visit our website, thereby facilitating your use of the latter.

Of course you can also visit our websites without accepting cookies. If you do not want your computer to be recognised on your next visit, you can also reject the use of cookies by changing your browser settings to "Do not accept cookies". Please consult your browser's user guide for the respective procedure. However, if you do not accept the use of cookies, there may be limitations on use in some areas of our webpages.

Use of facebook components "facebook Like"

On our site, we use components of the provider Facebook is a service of facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA.

Every time one of our webpages equipped with such a component is accessed, this component causes the browser you are using to download an appropriate representation of the facebook component. In doing so, facebook is made aware which specific page of our website you are visiting.

If you access our website whilst being logged into facebook, facebook recognises – from the information collected by the component – which specific page you are visiting and assigns this information to your personal facebook account. For example, by clicking the "Like" button or entering a relevant comment, this information will be transmitted to your personal facebook account and stored there. In addition, the information that you have visited our website is passed on to facebook. This happens regardless of whether you click on the component or not.

If you wish to stop this transmission and storage by facebook of data about you and your behaviour on our website, please log out of facebook before you visit our site.

Facebook's privacy policy gives further details, particularly on the collection and use of data by facebook, your rights in this regard and the setting options at your disposal to protect your privacy:

In addition, there are external tools on the market for all major browsers which block facebook social plug-ins by using add-ons

You can find an overview of facebook plug-ins at

Use of "Sign in with facebook" facebook components

We use the "facebook connect" feature provided by facebook.

If you want to use this feature, you will first be redirected to facebook. There you will be prompted to log in with your username and password. We are of course not cognisant of your login details. If you are already logged in to facebook, this step is skipped.

Facebook then informs you what data is sent to us (public profile, list of friends, email address and current residence). You can confirm by clicking the "OK" button. Using the data transmitted, we create your account, although we obviously do not store your list of friends. There is no additional permanent link between your customer account and your facebook account.

You can find out about the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of data by facebook, and about your rights in this respect and the settings options available for protecting your privacy in the facebook data policy.

We have taken technical and administrative security precautions to protect your personal data against loss, damage, manipulation and unauthorized access. All our employees and service providers working for us are obliged to observe the valid data protection laws.

Whenever we gather and process personal data, it is encrypted before transmission. This means that your data cannot be misused by third parties. Our security measures are subject to a continuous improvement process and our privacy policies are constantly reviewed. Please make sure that you have the most recent version.
