Opening of the new HOLMER logistics centre

10.08.2018

On Thursday 12th of July 2018 was the official opening of the new HOLMER logistics centre in Schierling (Germany). At this event a red ribbon in front of the hall gate was cut and the new premises were officially opened, the ceremony was held together with the annual “Bergfest”. All HOLMER employees celebrate this with a traditional barbeque party half way through the sugar beet harvester production.

The new logistics centre in Schierling has a hall area of approx. 7,500 m2 and an additional 2,500 m2 space, outside under cover. About 30,000 parts with a value of 11 million Euros are stored here. The official opening was celebrated almost exactly one year after the ground breaking ceremony in July 2017. The start of construction was in September 2017 and at the beginning of March 2018, the move from the warehouse in Regensburg to the new HOLMER logistics center in Schierling was organised. Since the middle of March 2018, the warehouse has started to work and since then the HOLMER logistics team sends spare parts from Schierling to customers all over the world. The processes have been optimized so that the supply can now be even better ensured. During the last months, the outdoor facilities at the new location have been completed and the access roads were tared.

All the best for the whole HOLMER team working in the new logistics centre!
