HOLMER once again presents innovation offensive

02.12.2013

HOLMER further expands its leadership in the sugar beet harvesting technology with the incorporation into the French family-owned company EXEL.
The product lines of HOLMER and the sugar beet harvesting technology of Agrifac and Matrot are hereby merged to the brand name HOLMER exxact.
At the Agritechnica in November, HOLMER thus presented the comprehensive product program of the sugar beet harvesting and loading technology in hall 24 on over 1100 m².

The innovations:

HOLMER once again ventures into a new dimension of the sugar beet technology with the development of the new six-wheeler Terra Dos T4-40 and thus establishes a new benchmark in the market.
The proven components of the lifting unit and the cleaning of the Terra Dos T3 are adapted to the performance of the T4-40. KOS Topper as well as DynaCut - scalper provide optimal clearing quality and gentle treatment of the beets.
However, in order to satisfy the requirements of a six-wheel undercarriage, 45m³ of tank volume and, not least, state of the art engine and propulsion technology, essential structural components were completely redesigned.
Fuel efficient propulsion solutions for innovative beet lifting technology
For the first time, the HOLMER Driveline Management System (HOLMER DMS) cross-links diesel engine, assembly units, drive and pump distribution transmission management for efficient performance under any operational conditions.
Due to the interaction of all of these components and the uncoupling of temporarily unused pumps and drivelines, fuel consumption can be reduced by more than 4% (approx. 1100 l per campaign at 700 ha of clearing area). In addition, the completely innovative drive with shift-on-fly changeover from field to road potential provides further fuel efficiency of 1-2%.
HOLMER DMS permits the holistic optimisation under consideration of the diesel engine & drive characteristics, the current driving condition (harvest or transfer), the load points on the drive and all structural component drives. Further advantages of the Terra Dos T4-40 include the 900 mm wide filter belt as well as the ring elevator with a width of 1000 mm. The unloading belt was extended by 50 cm with an additional articulated unit, which allows for an even better unloading in case of large piles and to transfer vehicles. The unloading capacity thus amounts to 54 m³ per minute.
Completely new is the vehicle with three axes. The front axis is equipped with the currently largest possible MICHELIN UltraFlex tyres (IF 800/70 R38 – 1.4 bar). For this reason, also the axis portal could be constructed higher and provides a passage at the filter belt enlarged by 40%.
The tyres of both rear axles are designed in size 1050/50 R32. For stability reasons, the centre axis is firmly connected with the frame, while the third axis is connected with a ball joint coupling to the front via a central pipe and is hinged up via a hydraulic cylinder. It is automatically equally affected with the centre axis at all times and, as well as deflection, also allows lateral oscillation.

As well as the T4-40, HOLMER also presents a few innovations at the Terra Dos T3 in the sectors control electronics, driver-assistance systems and wear and tear components.
HOLMER Automatic Depth Control (HOLMER ADC) celebrated its premier of the individual coulter units of the DLG-awarded HR lifting aggregate. It constantly ensures optimal working depth of the lifting aggregate and avoids unnecessary working depths.
The HOLMER ADC as driver assistance system facilitates the driver's work, ensures optimal lifting depth and thus reduces fuel consumption and wear and tear.
HOLMER exxact with extended product range
The sugar beet lifters OptiTraxx and HexxTraxx from Steenwijk in Holland round off the product portfolio.
The Dutch OptiTraxx clears with a 6-row lifting aggregate on 2 rubber chain movements. The tank holds 12 tons.
The 12-row HexxTraxx provides utmost lifting performance per hour and simultaneously reduces set-up time due to the foldable lifting attachment. With the flail/lifting aggregate folded in front of the cabin, it reaches a road-transport width of 3.49 m.
Proven cleaning and loading technology
The Terra Felis 2, winning in the cleaner-loader test of the Beet Europe 2012, stands for gentle beet cleaning with minimal loss and best loading performance of all comparable products on the market.
It guarantees high campaign performance at maximum efficiency due to low operating and maintenance costs. Further developments were performed in the sector of the swivelling frame, which permit an extended swivel range. A new wide-angle camera at the transfer loader provides an excellent view into the truck to be loaded.
The 900 m wide abdominal belt as well as the transfer loader belt is equipped with a high speed function.

Carrier vehicle Terra Variant eco
At the Agritechnica, HOLMER also displays the new generation of the carrier vehicle Terra Variant – the Terra Variant eco with new SCR engine technology and a performance of over 440 kW/ 598 PS.
As highest performance and most powerful liquid manure self-driver, it impresses with a complete new cabin and operating concept. The vehicle is known for its distribution accuracy and efficiency on areas with smaller as well as larger structures. It particularly demonstrates its strengths in the direct liquid manure processing with comprehensive soil cultivation and the yield in growing substances by way of injection technology.
HOLMER shall present itself as the leading manufacturer of sugar beet harvesting technology with the broadest product portfolio in the market at the Agritechnica 2013.
