HOLMER HELPS – AND GIVES A DONATION TO THE “BRK SENIORENHEIM EGGMÜHL”

04.02.2016

HOLMER staff traditionally use the Christmas staff party to collect donations for a good cause. Each year a large tombola is organised with attractive prizes, and the coveted raffle tickets are issued in exchange for a donation.
This year the staff at HOLMER have decided to donate the proceeds of the 2015 Christmas tombola –  rounded up by the management as it is every year –  to the “BRK Seniorenheim Eggmühl” (http://www.seniorenheim-eggmuehl.brk.de/). The voluntary support group of the “BRK Seniorenheim” in Eggmühl led by Ms Frieda Feldmeier is particularly impressive. For around 25 years, the volunteers have not only shaped the day-to-day lives of the senior citizens but have also been active in many projects, such as helping to build the children’s playground in the retirement home, bringing together young and old.
The staff at HOLMER provided a donation of €1000 to support this work in the “BRK Seniorenheim Eggmühl”. The symbolic handing over of the cheque took place on January 12, 2016 in the café at the residential home. The money will be used to buy a stereo system for those suffering from dementia at the “BRK Seniorenheim”, as music often helps open doors to old memories.
As representatives of the “BRK Seniorenheim Eggmühl”, Bernhard Strazim, the manager of the care home, and Frieda Feldmeier, member of the home advisory board and spokeswoman for the volunteers, received the cheque for €1000. Both gave their heartfelt thanks for the donation. The entire team at HOLMER hopes that the “BRK Seniorenheim Eggmühl” continues to have so many committed volunteers.
The HOLMER Christmas party was held on December 17, 2015. Invited to the party were not only the HOLMER team from Eggmühl but also the staff from HOLMER Americas, HOLMER France, HOLMER Poland and HOLMER Czech Republic. At the Christmas party, tributes were paid to the firm’s long-term employees and also to those employees who submitted a successful proposal to the HOLMER improvement team last year – we would like to take this opportunity to offer our heartfelt congratulations again to all those who received a tribute! After the official part with the annual review, mulled wine stall, tombola, good food and an unforgettable performance by the Labertaler Höllenteufel, the international Christmas party came to a relaxed conclusion.
The party completed an extremely successful year, as the photo review showed.  The highlights in 2015 have to be the world record in beet harvesting and the Terra Dos T4 award for “Machine of the Year 2016” at the Agritechnica in Hanover.
