19.03.2020

The organiser of this year's Beet Europe, the Association of Franconian Sugar Beet Growers (VFZ), announced that Beet Europe in Seligenstadt has been cancelled.

VFZ -Managing Director Dr. Klaus Ziegler explains the cancellation as follows:

„The current continuing uncertainty of planning and running events – triggered by the worldwide coronavirus (covid 19) – as well as the economic situation in several sectors of the agricultural industry - technical-economy forced us to cancel the „Beet Europe Seligenstadt 2020“ which should take place in Autumn during October 14/15, 2020.

We ask for your understanding of this decision.

We will keep you up to date when and with which concept this event will take place.“

Beet Europe is traditionally the meeting place for the international sugar beet community, where a comprehensive overview of the current status of sugar beet cultivation is presented, from information on seeds and the exhibition of chopping equipment to demonstrations of harvesting technology. The last Beet Europe took place in France in 2016.

The HOLMER team is saddened by the cancellation of Beet Europe 2020, but understands the decision due to the current circumstances and looks forward to continuing the event at a rescheduled time.
